A little bit about me…
Hello, my name is Kelsey Tol and I am the founder and owner of The Beauty Vault, formerly known as Sweetpea Studio.
I am multi-certified in Classic, Hybrid, Volume and Mega Volume lash extensions, as well as Microblading and Powder brows (also known as microshading or tattooed).
My journey in beauty started when I completed a nail course in 2016. When I saw how happy my clients were with their new nails, I knew the beauty world was for me. I decided I needed more of a challenge and I wanted to do something that would stand out and make women feel more confident. I also wanted a little bit more artistic creativity. With this in mind, I decided to venture out and take a lash course. I was interviewed for a local lash artist opportunity and sent for training a few days later. I caught onto it very quickly and became extremely passionate about my work.
A year later after seeing how slight adjustments made a huge difference in someone appearance and how you can enhance someone’s features by working with their eye shape, I decided to expand into brows and took a microblading and powder ombre course. I have fallen in love with doing eyebrows! It is extremely fascinating to me how much they can transform a person’s face. Within the last 7 years, I have found techniques and styles to better compliment my client’s features with both lashes and brows. I can honestly say it is the most liberating feeling when clients come back and say “I trust you, so do what you think will look the best.” It takes a lot of trust to let someone tattoo your face so I respect and hold dear their trust by giving each client my best effort every time.
Finding my passion and love for this industry comes from empowering women and helping them feel their best. While taking into account how much time it takes to get ready in the morning, I’m delighted to be able to shorten that time for everyone, as we all know, time is very valuable.
Being able to directly impact a woman’s confidence and seeing everyone who walks out of my treatment room happy, excited, and satisfied is what motivates me to achieve the best results for each and every client.
I have spent years building my skills to achieve the best results, but I still feel like every day is a learning opportunity to grow and improve what I do. I’m currently venturing into lip blushing which I am extremely excited about. I’ve spent the last year researching, doing courses, and expanding my colour theory and application knowledge as much as possible to ensure I have confidence going into each appointment, so if appointments aren’t already available, they will be soon!
Outside of the studio, I spend most of my time with my daughter. After taking some time off to adjust to life as a single mom I recognize how important it is to spend as much time with her as possible. Now that she is in full time daycare I am able to balance my work/home life better but I definitely value and soak up as many moments with her as possible.
